Dear Michael,

I talked with Prof. Trimpe about a possible
mastermaster's thesis at his institute at DSME at RWTH in Aachen, and he recommended me tothat I write you an email and askasking if you have any open projectprojects and arewhether you would be ready to take a master-thesismaster's thesis student under your supervision.

Briefly
, about me, I am a mastermaster's student in Electrical Engineeringelectrical engineering with specialisation in Systemssystems and Automationautomation at RWTH Aachen. Besides that, I studied for 1one year as part of a double degree Programprogram at KTH University in Stockholm.
At RWTH, I have mostly taken courses in
Control Theorycontrol theory, such as Model Predictive Control, Advanced Control Systems (MIMO control theory), Nonlinear Control, etc.
At KTH
, I had the chance to dive ininto more recent topics in the field of Roboticsrobotics and Autonomous Systemsautonomous systems. Some relevant courses I took there are Reinforcement Learning, Graphical Probabilistic Methods, Deep Learning/Machine Learning, etc.

Right now, I am working as a HiWi at the 'Human Language Technology and Pattern Recognition Group' institute on
End-to-End Automatic Speech Recognitionend-to-end automatic speech recognition systems. Previously, as part of my mandatory internship, I designed and implemented a generic sensor fusion library in C++ at IAV in Dresden.

As of
right nowthis moment, my future plans and motivation, areare to stay in the research environment and hopefully continue my mastermaster's thesis project as part of a PHDPhD program. Realistically, it depends a lot on the outcome of the mastermaster's thesis, which will too, also show my compatibility.

I see the project collaboration between DSME and DSG
to alignaligning very well with my competences and motivations. Therefore, I would be very happy to talk further talkand more specifically with you about ongoing projects more specifically and how I may benefit the team.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
