Abstract
Background and Objectives: Health promotion in schools remains a priority for the health system and
, in this regard, according to health and environment standards is a crucial requirement. The aim of this study was to determine the pathology of the health space of primary schools in Tabriz 2th and 5th educational districts.
Methods: The present study was a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study conducted in 2017 in the primary schools of the two education districts of Tabriz, which were selected using relative stratified random sampling
; done. Data collection was performed using a researcher-maderesearcher-designed checklist based on school health regulations. Research data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis test using SPSS software version 22.
Results: Data analysis
of the harms of health space into 8 factors are: lack of toilet siphon, lack of room and basic health facilities, poor sanitary condition of the toilet, lack of secondary sanitary facilities, unsuitable conditionconditions of drinking fountains, the inappropriate The sanitary conditionconditions of the toilets, the lack of facilities for inspection and cleaning, the unsuitability of the drinking fountains with a eigen value higher of 1 and have been classified as the main factors, and in total 67% of the variance explains the damage to the health space.
Conclusion: It is necessary to pay attention to promoting environmental health in health spaces and providing the necessary facilities in accordance with the standards, as well as providing the necessary equipment and space to provide health services in schools.
