Passengers and speedboat operators plying the Georgetown- Vreed En Hoop route

Since the Covid- 19 restrictions under the past government, speedboatspeedboats plying the Georgetown- Vreed En Hoop route havinghave been working from 6:am- 17:30 oppose00am-17:30pm, as opposed to the 06:00- 20:0000am-20:00pm. The speedboat operators have also been taking 21 passengers unlike 33 before. This is resulting in passengers at 17:30 being stranded at the stelling and unable to cross with the speedboat. Operators have also been complainscomplaining of the treatment from the Harbour Master, Ag, Michael Tennant, who they said “feelsay “feels that this is the Army”Army.” He stands outside with his binoculars looking out at speedboat without passengers who are coming over to Georgetown. The boat bowman normally would sit inside as the boat goes across empty. The HaborHabour Master, upon seeing this, calls infor the boat to be inspected and then suspendsuspends the crew and groundgrounds the vessel. In the passpast, operators have complaincomplained of not just the Habour Master but the cadets who he sendsends out to tear thetheir boat jackets and then tellstell them to buy new oneones.
