On-the-Job training for the sewing of facemasksface masks was completed successfully during the reporting period in Bashiqa (4 participants), Sinjar (4 participants) and Qaraqosh (4 participants).
The training involved a total of 12 female participants, who have previously completed the advanced sewing trainings at the Safe Return centers.

IHAO had supplied and provided all the participants with the raw materials and antiseptics needed to sew the masks.
As a response to the existing shortage of face masks in the market, IHAO will distribute the face masks to the health centers, hospitals and to the Safe Return’s primary and reproductive health centers, as well as the outreach team of IHAO.

The total amount of face masks made in both weeks of training in all three locations was 11,623 masks (5,000 masks produced in Bashiqa, 5,000 in Sinjar and 1623 in Qaraqosh).
