A child’s education doesn’t only extend tohappen in the classroom;, nor is it the school’s responsibility or obligation alone to guarantee a child’s achievements. According to experts, it's thea shared responsibility between the parents and teachers to help the student learn and meet their educational goals. One of the most accurate predictors of a child secedingchild's success is the amount of involvement from the parentparents' involvement. Teachers who encourage parental engagement in their child’s work often see a profound change from within their classrooms. The more parents are involved in their children’s education, the better their entire class’s environment as that student’sand students' behavior and grades become.
However, over the past few decades, schools have been noticing a decline in parental involvement and engagement
from withinin the classroom. In 2016, the researchers discovered that many parents believed intimate parent-teacher communication was ineffective. It has been noted that nowadays parents prefer: remote methods of communication, like an online meeting, and they are less likely to attend or partake in parent-teacher conferences or any afterschool activities. This sudden shift is concerning due to what it will mean for the students in the future. While our modern technology keeps the public and families informed, it also has the downfalla downside for the students who are missing out when parents cando not offer their time and support forto their child or student.
