I used to be bad at volleyball, but after practicing for months I got very good. I was even the team captain of the volleyball team this year. I had been trying out since 6th grade every year, but never made the team. This really discouraged me, but I didn’t give up. I keepkept practicing every single year until I finally made the teamit. I had to change my whole schedule to play a sport I loved. I struggledIn fact, at first I struggled going to practices until 6 pm and not getting to start my homework until 7 pm. I waswould get to that point feeling very tired, and didn’t feel likewith no intention whatsoever of doing my homework, but I persevered and got it done. Playing volleyball and being a leader really built of my confidence. Now, I don’t let thingsanything ruin my mood or discourage me. I not only motivate myself, I even try to encourage those who have nothaven't been having the greatest day to pull through. I like to listenlistening to what my friends might be going through. I like to know what’s going on in their head. I’m a great listener and a very respectful student.
