A political party is a group organized to nominate candidates, trying to try to win political power through elections and promotingpromote ideas about public policies.
There are
3three vital components of political parties. One is The Party Organizationthe party organization, which is Mademade up of people who hold party jobs w/with titles and other supporters devoted enough to volunteer and provide resources to advance party aims,the party's goals and objectives and who are charged with promoting ALL partyof the party's candidates and shared platforms. Secondly, Party-in-Government which Consiststhe party in government consists of the candidates and incumbents who are either running for/already holdingfor or already hold public office, whether or not they are elected, often working together to pursue shared goals, yet with differing priorities. The third component is the Party Electorate and Consistsparty electorate, which consists of citizens who feel a degree of loyalty to the party, more often called party identifiers, and partisans, who are usually inclined to support their party's candidates and issue standsissues for which they stand. The American political party is an open, inclusive, permeable organization withto the extent to which citizens can affect the choice its leaders present, which sets itself apart from parties in most other democracies.
