Johnathan Edwards made an extraordinary move when he reached out to the young adults ranging from the age ofages 16-26. These young adults are highly impressionable and willingly to do things that make them feel like they are making a difference forin their communitycommunities. Kids and young adults in this age range are easily influenced aroundand the age 16-26 that they are willingly to do just about anything you tell them to do. By making this move, Johnathan now havehas the upper hand of successfully executing his plan to make sure his plan go as planned. Edwards manipulated the youth for a guaranteed forto ensure his beliefs to bewould spread like a wildfire, by. By making this move, he is now imbedding this belief andembedding a way of thinking to be passed down generation to generation.

“The children were there very generally and greatly affected with the warnings and counsels that were given them, and many exceedingly overcome; and the room was filled with cries. And when they were dismissed, they, almost all of them, went home crying aloud through the streets, to all parts of the town. The like appearances attended several such meetings of children that were appointed.” ( citation )

This statement alone describes how much of an impact and influence he had on the youth. I personally agree with the idea of aiming for this age range,; kids (young adults) are like a blank slate and are willing to learn and adapt to new ideas versus adults who hadhave had a little more experience of lifelife experience. Edwards is giving the young adults the sense of empowerment and the belief that they are carrying out a important tasks from God.
