I am contacting you because today I approached you about writing a recommendation letter for me. My name is Gisela Olivo. I was in your pre- calculus class a little over a year ago. Your class was MTWR from 7:30-8:50. My final grade in your class was a C. The reason I am requesting this letter is because I am in the process of seeking a new job, pursuing an internship, and applying to law school and I was hoping you would be willing to provide a reference for me. Your class was the first math class I ever took in college and helped me realize many things; one being that math was more complex than I thought it to be. There are not many professors who actually take the time to challenge theire students as you do.
