As I make my way to the property, I get out of my truck, open the gate, and examine the work I haved done the previous day. Driving down the driveway to where I had last left the tractor, I can sense the hot sun beating on my arm. Not even ten minutes out in the sun, putting the rake on the tractor, I started to notice the sweat running down my back and that is when I knew it was going to be a long, hot ride. Standing three feet in front of me is a big roaring tractor, ready for me to start raking. I am very careful as I climb up to my seat, knowing everything is going to be hot from the afternoon sun. Sitting my water in the cup holder, I drive up to the very top of the property. Once I make it there, I hear the banging of the rake being dropped so I can begin my job. Dirt starts flying everywhere as I begin to rake the cut grass, and I can also see bugs jumping on the hood and little animals scurrying away. Time after time, I have to be careful and go slowly, as I can hear the crunching of tree branches underneath my tires. Still, sweating from the sun, I reach over, grabbing a hold of the still cold water, and start to feel satisfied as it enters my body. While still raking at a slow pace, I reach over to feel the tire turn, just to revive my boredom of being on the tractor for such a long period. Now, seeing that the sun is starting to set, I round my last row and take a look around the property to see if I have finished everything. Parking the tractor and taking a look, I can see how neatly the rows of grass are, just waiting for me to come back tomorrow and bale it all. When my entire work and examination is done, I climb off and make my way back to the truck, still feeling the vibration of the tractor lingering in my body.
