In my current role, I have accelerated cash flows by 22% through proactive account management and collection practices. I have also expedited customer account resolution, improved customer service and reduced account errors by creating an alert in simply accounting to highlight customer account requirements. My experience working as an Assistant Manager with Safeway
, has equipped me with a multitude of relevant skills such as maintaining operational standards, customer service levels, driving sales, budgeting, controlling labor and inventory. In my role, I was assigned to develop a plan to increase sales for a period of time, and I developed a game plan to achieve the goal. To achieve this goal, I decided to have all the department managers involved. I had a meeting with the department managers of the store and we set a goal to increase sales from 4% to 12% for a six-month period. At our initial meeting we brainstormed ideas fofr how to achieve this goal, which included ordering weekly promotional items to the store in a week in advance before the sale, ordering items based on weekly sales forecast and the previous year’s sales. I also assdignrected to the department managers to select non -promotional items (which compliements the promotional items) weekly to tie in with promotional items to drive sales for the entire store and not just the promotional items. I also worked with our warehouse manager as well as the various sales merchandising representatives in making sure that we had sufficient products in stock to meet weekly demand. By continuously doing this, I was able to increase sales for our store from 4% to 19% for the six-month period.
