A few days later, Percy's mom told him they awere going to Los Angeles for a vacation. Percy got online and found many stores who seollsd surfboard in Los Angeles, but the chieapeset surfboard cost one thousand dollars. He decided he must earn one thousand dollars before they will flyent to Los Angeles. Percy started to ask anyone he knew for a job or money. He started to take dogs for walks, to babysitter, and to clean anytime he could. Finally, he got nine hundred dollars and his mom said she wilould give him the rest of the money he needed. They flew to Los Angeles and at the minute they got out of the airport, Percy took all the money he had and ran to the store.
